NikkiM

Hello

Welcome to my space and thanks for sharing in my buzy day!

My love for hand made things started @ a very early age, learning to crochet and knit from my Gran’s and purchasing my first recipe book @ the age 13 and driving my mom mad, having to cook and bake every single recipe in the book!

This love grew into my married life raising 3 boys and having the most loving husband that has always encouraged and financed all these hand craft adventures of mine!

Now a days the boys are big and live all over the world!   I still live in the same house with the same loving even more encouraging husband, with the finances and I had 4 little Jack Russel children, I lost my old lady, Milo on 2013-08-10 at a good old age of 15 and on 2014-11-21 my buddy Max at the age of 9 now I have two, Wizzer 18 and Molly 10.

Have a cuppa and enjoy my buzy day!

I hope to see you evey Saturday!

  4. Hi Nikki,

Thanks for the like – you’ll know yourself how far the encouragement goes, especially when you’re new to this stuff.

Like you I learned to crochet from my Grandmother and used to torment my Mum with cookbooks brought back from the library, or anywhere else I could lay my hands on them. I’ve got three girls all small and one three legged jack russell cross. Looking forward to seeing more of what you have on here.

  7. Nikki, Thanks for liking my post “Upcycling a pair of Napkins”. I love your quilts. I dabble in quilting & a whole bunch of other needle arts. (Look at some my older posts) Like you, I got my start through my Grandmother & Mom, plus my Aunt Sissie. I can’t believe you have grown children. You look like a kid yourself! I’ll definitely be back to see what you have been sewing. Carmen Aida

  8. Nikki, I have a question for you. Before my Mom died, she was crocheting a set of pillowcase I had embroidered. They had belonged to my Grandmother. I am NOT great at crocheting. I was wondering if you could look at the design & help me figure out what she was doing? She finished one and (I guess) half of the other. My email is carmenaida@yahoo.com Your work is fantastic & any help would be so appreciated. Much thanks, Carmen Aida

  11. Hi Nikki,
Thanks for bringing your cuppa to my blog and liking my Peer Pressure/Puppy Poppers post.
Your craft work looks amazing! One day, I plan to learn to crochet. Your blog makes it look as exciting as I anticipate it being. The Out of Africa items are just adorable!
For now, no crocheting, though. I’m just getting the hang of blogging. 🙂

  13. Hi NikkiM

Thanks for liking my post about ribbons. I love the look of your blog and how you write, your photos are spot on! You are so talented, I wish I could crochet and quilt like that (is it too late to start)? Sorry to hear about Milo… my auntie has always had Jack Russells and I grew up with them, even delivering their pups once as a girl! Take care, Cath.
